Being a vtuber herself, [[:fuwakami_mana|Fuwakami Mana]] is quite interested in any knowledge relating to this activity. Therefore a section of [[:live_streaming|Live Streaming]] is dedicated to vtubing specifically. \\

===== What is a Vtuber? =====
A vtuber, or (virtual youtuber) is a content creator on youtube or similar platform who uses an avatar instead of their real self as a persona in their content be it prerecorded or live broadcast. This usually takes the form of a 2d or 3d anime character, however other forms are also possible.

As content creators, vtubers will also use software that other youtubers will use for the purpose of content creation. For example the [[:live_streaming|Live Streaming]] section will discuss general purpose streaming software that will also benefit vtubers.

==== Avatar ====
Vtubers require avatars. They can be either 2d or 3d.
For the prupose of 2d they should be drawn in some software and then rigged using [[https://www.live2d.com/en/|live2d]] whereas various programs can be used for 3d such as [[https://vroid.com/en/studio|vroid studio]].

==== Collaborating ==
[[https://reactive.fugi.tech/|Fuji Discord Reactive Image]]: Fuji is a website that allows to setup reactive PNG images for people who are talking on Discord. This can be useful for people who are collaborating but for some reason don't have access an avatar stream of their co-streamer. Fuji will give you individual browser sources that you can use on OBS, or you can also have a group browser source if that is more convenient.

:!: Fuji will only work with the base OBS, that is to say that it will not work with streamlabs nor will it work with stream element's OBS.live plugin.
